21st Sept 08 - Club Hill Climb

Today marked the return of FDW's traditional Hill Climb, and what a great return it was. 13 keen riders set out to 'Tame the Horse' with National Championship contender Robert Gough setting a jaw dropping 3:06!! This guy must have rockets in his socks sprinting from start to finish. Will Whitmore thrashed a 3:49 with Tavis Walker following in third with a very credible 3:50.

Thanks go out to Shaun, Ceri Lambdin and all the organisers involved. This truly was a very enjoyable and well organised event and I for one am looking forward to the next time.

04th Sept 08 - Club Evening 5 Mile TT

Like the parting of the waves, the rain cleared to allow FDW's to hold their last 5-mile sprint of 2008. Yet again it was Rob Pears who posted the fastest time 10:33, which was identical to last week. Barry Holley mashed out a 10:45 with super athlete Whitmore in 3rd with a very respectable 11:27.
